Made it, Loved it, Shared it: The results are in!!

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

Hello beautiful, creative people!

Throughout February, we ran a competition for creators of all styles, practices and mediums - and we gave our Instagram over to them for the month. Each day, we posted a new piece from a different artist to introduce their work to a new audience - and the response from you, the audience, has been EPIC!

We offered 8 prizes to the artists whose work generated the biggest buzz, and whilst it was a very close call, we are absolutely thrilled to announce the winners.

A huge thanks to everybody who got involved. Sharing your work can be daunting, and I hope you feel incredibly proud of yourselves for doing so. We really enjoyed the creations from everybody, and we are extremely grateful to have connected with you :)

In third place (5 artists, who have won £20 each):

Harriet Jones (@jiggyjones) showcased her creative costume-making abilities with this unique entry called "It's Your Party".

We loved this innovative design and the video which came with it - you can check that out here.

Sophie's (@spokenbysophie) rawness in her approach to understanding love and longing really resonated with our audience.

The honesty and emotion that she captures in this poem run through her style, and it's always a joy when Sophie shares something new.

Chels's (@chelsillustrations_) fabulous illustrations are gaining huge popularity - and we can see why! This 21st century re-imagining of Debbie from the Wild Thornberries is absolutely on point!

Chels has a website and Etsy shop on the way (so keep an eye on her Instagram) but in the meantime, if you fancy seeing yourself as one of her brilliant characters, she does take commissions...!

Sometimes the most effective artwork is the simplest, and many of you felt that way about Tala's (@talawrites) cheeky entry. It certainly made us smile!

This one happened to be the entry on Valentine's day, and it was good to see it get so much love! Check out Tala's Etsy page here for more of her creations.

This poem by Kat Reeves (@kpoetree) is as aesthetically pleasing as it is lyrically evocative. The combination of Kat's soulful words and powerful imagery really struck a chord.

Kat uses her social platforms to champion the work of fellow creatives, and given what we do, we love this!

In second place (2 artists, who have won £50 each):

Aline Da Fonte (@ourarmistice) took us on a journey through space, time and the meaning of life with this brilliant illustrated poem.

We could only put a taster into this blog, but you can enjoy the full poem here, on Aline's website.

We had all sorts of entries from right across the artistic spectrum, but only one was musical... Jemma Furnival's (@poetry_jrfurnival) heartfelt ballad went down a storm, almost propelling her to top spot!

You can watch the full performance here, and she has also published a children's book, The Panther and the Mouse, which is available on Amazon.

And the WINNER of the Made it, Loved it, Shared it competition, and the £100 top prize, is...

NOAH GRANVILLE! (@noah.thepoet)

Noah shared this moving piece about their Dad with us. Palpable emotion oozes exquisitely through each and every line, inviting the reader to join Noah on a bittersweet journey.

We feel so honoured that Noah entered this piece into our competition, and we feel that they are a worthy and deserving winner.

Thank you to everybody who entered our 'Made it, Loved it, Shared it' competition. We really enjoyed connecting with new creatives, and seeing the support shown to them.

All of our winners will feature in our email newsletter in March.
